Payment Options
From payment plans to pet insurance, we’ve put together clear answers to the questions pet owners ask us most about the cost of specialist veterinary care at ACES.
The cost of your pet’s care depends on their condition, the tests and treatments required, and the complexity of their case. Because every patient is different, we’re unable to provide an accurate quote before your pet has been assessed.
Once we’ve examined your pet, we’ll discuss our recommended treatment plan, provide an estimate of the expected costs, and answer any questions you may have before proceeding.
We understand how helpful it would be to have an idea of costs before you arrive, but the cost for emergency vet care and specialist treatment genuinely varies from patient to patient. Complex cases need to be individually assessed before an accurate quote can be provided, as the treatment required depends entirely on what we find during examination and diagnostics. What we can promise is that our team will always talk you through costs clearly and honestly before any treatment begins, and will seek your approval before proceeding with anything additional.
Yes. We believe in transparent, upfront communication. If your pet requires additional tests or treatment beyond the original estimate, we’ll discuss the options with you, explain any additional costs, and obtain your approval before proceeding.
ACES does not offer in-house payment plans directly, however we do work with a range of external payment providers including VetPay, Afterpay, ZipPay, and ZipMoney to help make the cost for emergency vet care and specialist treatment more manageable. These services allow you to spread the vet consultation fee and treatment costs over time, so your pet can receive the care they need without the full financial burden falling at once. We understand that the cost for emergency vet care can sometimes be more than a family is able to manage, and we never want finances to be a barrier to your pet receiving at least a basic standard of care. If you prefer not to proceed with additional treatment beyond the initial vet consultation fee, our team will always discuss appropriate alternatives with you honestly and without judgment. We will make sure your pet is stable and safe before they leave our care, and will work with you to find the best possible path forward within your means.
